Over the years I have used many types of devices to clean the air in my home and office, but nothing has done a better job than the Ionic Breeze Quadra. Wipe the plates clean with a paper towel, and allow to thoroughly dry. No wasted filters, and no running around town looking for filters. I guess the only down side of the Ionic Breeze is that the outside plastic body of the Ionic Breeze also collects some dust, and every now and then one needs to clean the outside of the unit with a damp sponge. Not a big problem. One simply unplugs the Ionic Breeze, put a little dish soap in a tub of water, and damp sponge the outside of the unit. Another odd thing, the Ionic Breeze that we have in our upstairs bedroom buzzes after we take a shower. The steam seems to make the device buzz a little, and the unit will buzz until the steam dissipates from the room. Once again, not a big set back.

Here you can see the collection plates are covered with dust they have removed from the air in our home. Just rinse and wipe the plates clean, and allow to dry before replacing into the Ionic Breeze.	After a while the outside of the Ionic Breeze will collect some dust as well. Just unplug the unit, and clean with a damp soapy sponge, and allow to dry. No other air cleaning device is easier to maintain.

When you see how much dust has collected on the collection plates the first time you clean the device, it will shock you. My unit needs a cleaning about every 2 weeks, and when I spray it clean in the tub, huge clumps of dust and silt all flow off down the drain. I cannot believe all these pollutants are in our air.
